Solutions Architect

Job Description

1.Create comprehensive and functional solution designs for customers’ needs at the most competitive price possible.
2.Provide Sales/Account Managers with basic understanding of products on a technology standpoint.
3.Participate in sales presentations in a technological role, answering technical questions and offering solutions.
4.Configure hardware and software solutions.
5.Play key role in the development of sales and bid proposals
6.Evaluates performance of suppliers/vendors in their pre- and post- sales activities.
7.Initiate purchase and inspect delivery of project deliverables on won projects/bid and ensures that all delivery issues are resolved immediately.
8.Prepares documentation of procedures and processes within his area of responsibility
9.Perform other related duties as instructed by the Senior Solutions Architect

Tech Professional Description

-good understanding of variety of hardware platforms including mainframes, mid-range platforms, desktops, and mobile devices
-good understanding of different network related devices
-good understanding of a variety of Operating Systems including mainframe systems(MVS,VM,zOS, Midrange systems (OS/400),Unix flavors(Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Linux), Desktops (Windows, Apple OS, DOS), mobile platforms (Windows CE, Palm OS)
-good understanding of any major databases such as Oracle, Sybase, DB2, SQL Server
-ability to identify and translate client requirements into software design documentation
-ability to manage the entire solution design cycle and come up with proposals within budget and deadline
-capability to write good and attractive technical proposals.Well roundedness on English grammar is a must
-ability to conduct product and solution presentation convincingly

Other Key Details

-At least 3 years of relevant work experience doing pre-sales, solutions architecture, technical support, network and system administration
-Certifications from widely known IT products an advantage, e.g. MCSE, CCNA, OCP, etc
-has high levels of accuracy and a sense of urgency, is keen to details and a team player
