Job Description
•Monitoring/tracking network, external, systems, network, and application related incidents and direct ownership for tracking the resolution of escalated incidents.
•Perform routine checks and Level 1 triage / escalation of any critical alerts
•Update policies, procedures, and computer programs which enhance and manage critical business operations
•Maintains documentation of systems configurations and procedures.
•Assist in the creation and preventive maintenance of computer systems
•Be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
•Ability to follow process and procedure to resolve issues - Ensures NOC notification and escalation procedures are accurately followed.
•Reviews log files and other server monitoring data for problems and perform proactive maintenance.
•Strong problem solving analytical & troubleshooting abilities
•Designs and develops extensive scripting and other automation tasks.
Tech Professional Description
•Bachelor''''s Degree and 2-4+ years of relevant IT experience (relevant experience may be a substitute for education)
•1-2 years of Network Operations Center or Technical Customer Support experience(preferred)
•Strong understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP)
•Strong knowledge of Windows-based Operating Systems
•Strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
•An understanding of SNMP, Perfmon, and/or WMI based Enterprise
•Monitoring tools. Specific experience with Nagios/Orion/Hyperic a plus.
•Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
•Solid time management skills
•Maintain flexibility with schedule as needed to support business demands
•Solid interpersonal skills with an ability to work well independently and in a close team environment
•Strong written and/or verbal skills
•Able to work well in a fast paced enviro

•Ability to define problems, document and establish facts to draw valid conclusions - Must demonstrate strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
•Strong self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Experience and proficiency in networking standards, protocols, security, and performance tuning.
•Must be able to proficiently script (Bash, Perl, Powershell, VBScript)
•Basic understanding of LAN / WAN Topologies
•Microsoft MCP, MCDST, MCSA, or MCSE Certification(s)
•Other IT designations and/or Certifications (CCNA, Redhat RHCT, RHCE, etc.)
•History of working in conjunction with overseas Eastern/Western European firms or partners desirable
