Job Description

Primary responsibilities include researching & analyzing business scope, requirements,& functional documentation as input to technical specification development.Completes software program assignments by developing technical specifications,& writing new or modifying existing code.Ensures programming code is of high quality through appropriate testing during the software development lifecycle.Responsible for adhering to the software development lifecycle & the enterprise project management office methodology.
Reviews input documents (scope, requirements, functional documentation) & develops software programming requirements for assigned projects.
•Develops technical designs that will meet project and system objectives and minimize the impact on operations.
•Verifies completeness & accuracy of specifications for assigned projects (e.g., report changes, control file changes, file fixes).
•Develops high quality code for assigned projects

Tech Professional Description

Education:
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in a related area (i.e. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration Information Systems, etc).
Experience:
1 year programming experience in a directly-related associate or entry-level position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Mainframe:Knowledge of Batch System Environment,Online Systems,System interfaces,DB2,COBOL,SQL,IMS,Insync,JCL,Dumpmaster,Message Broker
Tools: MicroFocus, Revolve, Message Broker Stream Tester Tool,SPUFI Xpediter
•Open Systems: Java ,J2EE,JSP,XML,XSL,Web services, Message broker knowedge, Familiarity with webframe,Understanding of the host interfaces,Database knowledge – SQL, Oracle
Tools: Myeclipse,Websphere, Beyond compare,XML, editor,Sdf painter, Quickparse,Smart FTP
